Pieter Lichtendahl
Pieter is an expert in media law, advertising law and intellectual property law.
Pieter completed his master's degree at Tilburg University in 2020.
His practice focuses on intellectual property law and media law. Pieter has extensive experience representing companies in matters involving journalism and unlawful publications, including complex disputes relating to freedom of expression.
In addition, Pieter regularly advises clients in the entertainment and events industry. He provides guidance on digital events, streaming and content distribution, with a particular focus on licensing matters across a range of sectors, including film, television, publishing and digital media.
Pieter has represented media companies in significant journalism-related matters, including notable work for, among others: (i) DPG Media in summary proceedings concerning alleged unlawful statements published in the daily newspaper Trouw; and (ii) Mediahuis Nederland in various summary proceedings concerning alleged unlawful statements published in De Telegraaf and regional newspapers.
Pieter regularly advises Omroep Gelderland on third-party claims relating to publications by Omroep Gelderland.
